Course Ratings

Each Spartan Sprint, Super, Beast, and Ultra will receive a course rating. Each course will be assigned a number of helmets to designate its difficulty. More helmets indicates more difficult conditions. Ratings are assigned based on the following attributes. 

1. Elevation Gain

2. Altitude

3. Terrain Types

4. Temperature - Based on yearly averages

MAX Ratings - An event that has 2 "Hard" designations will receive the designation of MAX (Sprint MAX for example).
